This year, we would like to celebrate the contributions Women across CGIAR make in helping achieve a sustainable tomorrow by focusing on ways we can continue to address gender inequity.
Mentorship of women has been shown to be a promising strategy for addressing gender imbalance in our workplaces. Mentors provide guidance and advice to their mentee to support them in achieving their career ambitions . However, research also shows that women can have a harder time than men finding mentors.
Join CGIAR’s Women in Research and Science (WIRES) Employee Resource Group on International Women’s Day to learn more about mentorship and the benefits it can bring to your career. We’ll share tips on how to find and secure a mentor, as well as how to successfully manage a mentorship relationship. We’ll also share success stories from some of our WIRES members to further inspire you.
